Marah Louw is a South African singer and actress who began singing at the age of 10 with the choir Imilonji Kantu. In she joined Caiphus Semenya’s musical, Meropa and toured Japan, Hong Kong, The Philippines, South Africa and London and sang for the Queen at a Royal Command Performance in On her return to South Africa, Marah’s solo career took her to Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland and Namibia. Marah has toured Scotland, England, Wales, Switzerland, France, Egypt and Denmark, where she performed for the Queen in and the Prime Minister in Preferred artist that she was, Marah performed in the Mandela Concert at London’s Wembley Stadium, she sang at the Newsmaker of the Year Awards for Nelson Mandela, FW de Klerk and in honour of the late Chris Hani. She appeared with Nelson Mandela during his visit to Glasgow in and sang at George Square and The Royal Concert Hall. When Joe Albertson founded his eponymous grocery store in in Boise, Idaho, he could scarcely have imagined the vast empire that would eventually grow from that humble 10, square foot shop.

Yet through business acumen and innovation, Albertson rapidly transformed his store into a regional success story.

Stephan Louw is a Namibian long jumper.

At the SummerUniversiade he won the silvermedal in long jump and participated in 4 x metres relay. The Namibianrelay team, whichconsisted of Louw, Sherwin Vries, ThobiasAkwenye and Benedictus Botha, finishedfourth in a new Namibianrecord of seconds. The same year Louw competed at the World Championships, withoutreaching the final round. He also competed at the Summer Olympics, but all his jumps were invalid.

He finished twelfth at the African Championships, and won the bronze medal at the African Championships. He competed at the Olympic Games without reaching the final.

His personal best jump is 8,24 metres, achieved in January in Johannesburg. This is the current Namibian record.
