Veteran Pakistani Actor Talat Hussain Passes Away At 83 In Karachi
Legendary Pakistani Actor Talat Hussain passed away after a prolonged illness on Sunday (May 26), confirmed Pakistani film director and editor Arsalan Khan on platform X.
Sharing the news of his sad demise, he wrote, "One of the finest actors of Pakistan, Talat Hussain breathed his last today. May Allah grant him the highest ranks in Jannah. Aameen."

Born on September 18, , Talat was a renowned actor who has over the years, performed in critically acclaimed TV dramas, movies and stage plays. He is well-known for her roles in Arjumand, Ansoo, Bandish, Des Pardes, Tariq Bin Ziad, Eid ka Jora, Fanooni Latifey Hawain, and more.
He is married to professor Rakhshanda Hussain and is a father of three — two daughters and one son.
The legendary actor studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. In , he was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) and in Pride of Performance Award by the Government of Pakistan.

Actor, director, teacher and voiceover artist, Talat Hussain was born Talat Hussain Warsi to Altaf Hussain and Shaista Begum on September 18, in Delhi, India. After Partition, the family settled in Karachi. A young Talat entered the field of performing arts owing to his mother`s genes, herself a celebrated Radio Pakistan announcer.
In his 20s, Talat Hussain appeared in Fazl Karim Fazli`s feature film ChiraghJalta Raha, as Deeba`s younger brother.

Talat Hussain, one of Pakistan's most accomplished and celebrated actors, died on Sunday at a private hospital here following a prolonged illness. He was A radio, TV, theatre, and cinema veteran, Hussain was known for serials such as Bandish, Karwaan, Hawain and Parchaiyan as well as movies Chiragh Jalta Raha, Gumnaam, Actor in Law and Indian film Sauten Ki Beti.
Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) Karachi President Ahmed Shah confirmed the news of Hussain's death, adding that the actor had long been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi. "An acclaimed actor like Talat Hussain is born after centuries," he said.

KARACHI:Think of Talat Hussain and you come across most of the TV classics we have grown up on; he was the protagonist in Haseena Moin’s Bandish, one of the three suitors in Parchaiyan, the evil Aalijah in Kashkol, the mercurial lawyer in Rozan e Zindan, and the drug lord in British TV series Traffik.
