BRYAN ADAMS
Intimate, compelling and life-affirming – the portraits of Bryan Adams have placed him on the world stage alongside the most celebrated photographers working today. World-famous too, of course, for his success as a singer, songwriter and producer, his photographic output spanning more than 20 years has earned him equally remarkable critical acclaim. Beyond these achievements, he has also dedicated his life to humanitarian work. He has long been at the forefront of animal rights and environmental causes worldwide. Whatever Bryan Adams happens to be doing, he uses his profile and his compassion to steer our gaze, move our heart, and shift our consciousness.
Bryan&#;s multifaceted works and humanitarian beliefs show us contrasting worlds that range from celebrity and glamour, to trauma and hardship. Always exploring and emphasising with the uniqueness and complexity of individuals in a way that relates on a basic, universal level.
Bryan Adams
Adams works as a photographer as well as musician, aside from being published in British Vogue, L'uomo Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Esquire, Interview magazine and i-D, among others, he has also shot advertising campaigns for Guess Jeans, Sand, Converse, Montblanc, John Richmond, Fred Perry, and more recently for Escada.
He has won Lead Awards twice in Germany for his fashion work, most recently June and previously in Other photographic endeavours include founding the art fashion Zoo Magazine, based in Berlin, Germany for which he shoots for regularly.
His first book of photos will be released by Steidl in entitled Exposed. Previous published collaborations include; American WomenJune , for Calvin Klein in the United States; proceeds from this book went to Memorial Sloan–Kettering Cancer Center in New York City for their breast cancer research for programs, and Made in Canada December for Flare Magazine in Canada; proceeds went to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Both books were dedicated to his friend Donna, who died of the disease.

Most people are aware of Bryan Adams, the musician, singer, songwriter - but did you know that he also has a successful career as a photographer? Adams has photographed for magazines including Interview, Harper’s Bazaar, and British and German Vogue. In he founded Zoo magazine for which he has received a Golden Federe Award.
In Adams was honored with a German Lead Award for his series of photographs of Mickey Rourke. Bryan Adams work has been exhibited at museums and galleries across the globe, such as the Saatchi Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery in London, the Haus der kunst in Munich and at Fotografiska in Stockholm, and is held by corporate and private collectors.
In the summer we had the great pleasure to present a solo exhibition with Bryan Adams here at The Photogallery in Halmstad, Sweden.
